Backpacks are very useful for many people who use crutches, a cane, or wheelchair.

If you're on crutches with a backpack, the motion of crutching back and forth makes the backpack straps slide down.

Here is a tip to help with that problem: Get a backpack with straps that hook and unhook on at least one end of the strap. Or, modify your existing backpack so that the bottom straps end in a hook and then hook onto a D-ring sewn into the bottom of the pack.

Criss-cross the straps into an X and now the backpack won't slide down your shoulders and arms while you're walking.
